Zakat in Islam

What does Allah mean by Zakat, and what do we mean by it?

Wherever prayer is mentioned in the Quran, the word Zakat is mentioned along with it. That means that just as prayer is obligatory for everyone, Zakat is also obligatory for everyone.

But the conventional idea is that the rich will give Zakat and the poor will receive Zakat. Thus, Zakat was introduced to maintain the economic balance of the society. But what does the Quran say?

He has commanded me to establish prayer and pay zakat wherever I may be as long as I live (19:31). How did this child Jesus pray and pay zakat in a deserted place?

Did he pray with the congregation in the mosque in the traditional way by giving the call to prayer? No, he did not, because the practice of making a profession of religion with prayer was not yet established at that time. This method began during the reign of Muawiyah.

By zakat, we usually understand that maintaining the balance of an economically unequal society. That is, a rich person will give a part of his wealth to the poor. But there was no unequal settlement in that society of the child Jesus, so to whom would he give zakat? How would he collect zakat?

If not, he may have established it on the social system after he grew up and returned to society.

The truth is, the idea or theme that has been instilled in our minds about Zakat has nothing to do with the Zakat described by Allah. Until we determine the correct translation of the Arabic word Zakat into Bengali, it is impossible to understand the difference between the Zakat desired by Allah and the 2.5% Zakat made by our mullahs.

Zakat is Bengali pure. This pureness is not only of wealth. It means purity and distribution in all things, judgment, intelligence, wealth, knowledge, andknowledge. Which must be established or established within ourselves and throughout society.

The current Zakat system is a ploy to extort money from the ignorant and fanatics. Prayer and Zakat are obligatory for everyone. Wherever prayer is mentioned, it is prayer. And the leaders of Satan are extorting the wealth of the fanatics by calling it 2.5%.

O you who believe! Many of the religious leaders and scholars consume people’s wealth unjustly and prevent people from the path of Allah. (9:34)

After this, Allah warns in Surah A’raf:
“Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord and do not follow other guardians besides Him. Little do you take advice.” (7:3)

After the martyrdom of Islam, founded by the Prophet Muhammad , Ali (RA) was captured by Amir Muawibyah (RA) and injured by the Ezidis. Then, it crossed Iran, Iraq, Persia, and gradually became corrupted and reached Asia, namely the Indian subcontinent. Islamic scholars called Alems were formed in the madrasas run by Christian missionaries in this subcontinent, limiting them to the syllabus of Hadith. These scholars, who were averse to research on the Quran, did not apply their wisdom and conscience, did not do any research to verify the truth from falsehood, and instead limited the knowledge they acquired from Hadith to the period of obtaining reward and paradise with satisfaction, and continued to instill it in the minds of the common people for generations. By following which, everyone became dependent on the scholars with a sigh of satisfaction, with the only goal being salvation in the afterlife. Taking advantage of this opportunity, the scholars chose religion as a way of life and livelihood.

The competition to build mosques and madrasas began in every neighborhood. In the grand festival of increasing the scope of work and expanding the scope, they were busy limiting Islam to five fundamental issues and turning the public away from the Quran. In this way, people strayed from the original Islam and became accustomed to practicing the religion and religion based on Huzoor.

As a result, the situation reached such a stage that if anyone brought up the truth, this scholarly community would attack the general public like hyenas and issue fatwas demanding the execution of the agents of the Jews and Christians, Qadianis, infidels, etc. The truth was defeated and they were oppressed with silent tears.

It is doubtful whether Islam will ever be revived in the way it was killed in Kufa.
